For almost 40 years, Edison Bearden has run his sprawling Midwestern department store, Bearden's Bargain Village off Interstate 82, as his personal empire. But with the decline of retail and the rise of the Internet, he fears the store may not survive another holiday season. He hatches a plan to make this year's after-Thanksgiving holiday sale the biggest in his store's history. All he needs is a little Satanic magic. And as long as no blood is spilled in the store, everything will be just fine.
