Carol Crawford (2020)

Sally White, young, anxious, lonely, and obsessive, is an actress living in the big city. She lands mainly background roles in mediocre films. Everything changes when she meets a mysterious woman who gives her a script, the woman claiming to be a rep for a prestigious production company tells her to consider the lead role "Carol Crawford". At first Sally's reluctant, being the woman is a stranger. However, when she sits down to read the script she finds the story to be immersive and visceral. Intrigued Sally meets with the mystery woman and agrees to play the lead. Obsessed with "becoming" the role she completely throws herself into the world of Carol Crawford. Her obsession with mastering the role starts to take a catastrophic toll on her perceptions of reality, sending her down a rabbit hole of terrifying dreams, hallucinations, and paranoia.
