Sky C.

Sofia (AKA Sky) is a single mom supporting her daughter and her father. Growing up in the gym watching her father train to become a professional boxer her passion has always been to become a MMA pro-fighter. Her father's dream was cut short in the fight that would make him a professional boxer, when he sustained a spinal injury confining him to a wheelchair. Now her father is adamantly against Sky having any part of fighting for fear of her succumbing to the same fate he endures. But Sky passion for fighting could not be extinguished, so she continued to train in between working, being a mother and caretaker. After losing her main source of income, financial struggles ensue that forces her to secretly take underground fights to make money to support her family. One night she knocks out an opponent and it turns out to be the current MMA champion. The crowd has it all on video and the footage goes viral causing the MMA champion to challenge her to a real match that proves that Sky's knockout was just lucky. The viral footage gets back to her father and he further finds that his best friend was part of her training. The father confronts them both and the argument reveals the truth of why he didn't want Sky to fight. Sky leaves with her daughter and begins training for the fight of her life, without her father, until the day of the fight.
