State of the Game (2020)

In a tight-knit community of Minnesota where hockey is worshipped as a religion; Jamie Delhay is torn between his instincts of doing what he knows is right, and his need to belong. As a desperate to please competitor and newest player on his high school team, Jamie soon realizes what is truly required to prove his worthiness to the collective. When Jamie discovers he must perform in a sadistic ritual in deification to his team captain, he finds himself trapped in a game that is an equally part-loyalty pledge, part-blackmail scheme. State of the Game forces Jamie to either find the courage to escape the web or allow himself to be captivated by the team's spirit, at the cost of his integrity.
