Miragem do Porto (2017)

Reality and fiction merge in Miragem do Porto, a documentary that uses fictional language to bring to life the memory of people living in a port city, that has or had their lives linked to the port. Three real characters at different times inspire fictional characters: the Poet, who watches and tells these stories, Maria do Cais, the prostitute, popular and folkloric character, and Judite, the madwoman of love, who has spent her life waiting for her beloved. Consisting of visual verses "Miragem do Porto" is a cine-poem. The port as a metaphor of the dream, the sea as myth, the woman as waiting, love as madness, the poet as transcendence.
