China Jar (2019)

Zi Ming, a 22-year-old illegal immigrant working at a Chinese restaurant, saves money he earns in order to pay the people who help him sneak through the border and to support his parents. Due to his inexperience at work, the owner of the restaurant gets to justify undercutting Zi Ming's wage, for which he has no solution. Meanwhile, Zi Ming finds himself to be an unintended and intertwined witness of the relationship between an American young man and the daughter of the restaurant owner.
