One Fourth Gone is a musical film about a young man named Barry, who uses the magic of music to escape his internal feelings of combating and making peace with his obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It's a heartfelt story filled with compassion and determination that tackles family issues and the urge to be loved and accepted as he is. Through his journey he learns to cope and make amends with his brother's lack of acknowledgement of his feelings concerning his issues with their father and his struggles with mental illness. The musical elements of the story bring a fun and sentimental feel to a dramatic plot all while bringing awareness to serious issues. This film is currently a short for a senior thesis, which I hope to one day make into a feature length musical or Broadway show. My vision for the film were inspired by the cinematic feel of Baby Driver and Dear Evan Hansen, all of course with my original story, music, and vision.
