Mixtape (The Movie)

In the wake of his parents' separation, Sammy and his mother return to their native Puerto Rico where he enrolls in a performing arts high school. Immediately, he is smitten by Karla, one of the most talented girls on campus. His infatuation is met by daily torment at the hands of a group of meat-heads, led by Jonathan - Karla's 'on-again/off-again' beau. Fortunately for Sammy, Karla and Jonathan are on the outs; but unfortunately, Sammy's musical ability exceeds his romance skills. He's having a tough time expressing his feelings for Karla. However, things take a turn for the better when he befriends Miguel, the school custodian. A DJ and audio engineering aficionado, Miguel shares with Sammy the secret art of using subliminal recording as a tool of influence. The two create a 'mixtape' for Karla - and it works. Problem is, she also shares it with all of her friends - who also fall madly in love with Sammy. Now Sammy's got to undo this huge mess before things get out of hand.
