I Could Today (2020)

Six seemingly disconnected people go about their day, each struggling through deeply emotional demons that are underscored by voice-over narration through a spoken-word poem. The story explores the inner monologues of black people who struggle to live their lives to the fullest, and to survive in a society that still doesn't fully respect their identity or God-given right to thrive.
