Having been alone for years, Gareth (Gaz) tries to find a purpose in his existential life by hoarding personal possessions and found artefacts as a form of a connection to others. Haunted from his childhood and trying to escape his past, it is only through fixing electrical devices and discovering discarded music that Gaz truly feels safe and once more connected with humanity. Throughout his journey, Gaz is accompanied by his tape recorder which represents someone from his past. As time becomes a factor, Gaz slowly starts to realise his own mortality. It becomes apparent that he must leave the comfort of his claimed-abandoned town to continue his search for food and shelter in order to survive. Throughout his journey, Gaz is increasingly struggling with his own paranoia; a continued self-conflict inside his mind as to what he is searching for and why he should continue.
