Lonely teacher Lidia Mikhailovna and her former student Zhenya are going to celebrate the New Year. No worthy men were found, and so they decided to celebrate the holiday together. Suddenly a doorbell rings, and Lidia Mikhailovna recognizes in her uninvited guest her first love - Borya, whom they had not seen for about 30 years.
