Zuzu Zero One Angry Eagle from the Agunia team. The story of this emblematic persona is mingled with one of the most traditional parades of "Bate-Bolas" (Hit-Balls) of the Rio de Janeiro's suburb: The Agunia do Sapê. On the contrary to the common sense that the "Bate-bolas" spreads violence and fear, the film reveals the other side of a mask that is not threatening at all. An important and irreplaceable presence in the Carnival, the Agunia brings with it the irreverence of an outstanding movement, at the same time that it consolidates itself as one of the greatest cultural legacies of Rio de Janeiro. The impact of this tradition is so strong that it is present in many neighborhoods, without ever being suppressed, either by the repression of the State or by the parallel power. If it is the strength of their own identity that sustains this popular tradition, it is in Zuzu that there is assurance that Agunia will never end.
