Undertaker Karsten prepares for a busy Christmas week, when his parents tell him during their Christmas dinner that they want to commit suicide together - and that within the next five days! Karsten doesn't want to lose neither his father Theodor, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, an instrument maker, nor his completely healthy mother Marion, a former pharmacist. So he does everything in his power to prevent the two from their plans.
