The Prank (2019)

At his own house party, Hayden's sullen girlfriend gets a visit from her old friend, Nick. The girlfriend, named Anna is suddenly gleeful, leaving Hayden feeling jealous. Nick leaves after a short time and all seems well again. But when Anna dumps Hayden the next day, his insecurity bests him and he accuses her of cheating on him. Shocked by Hayden's suggestion, Anna leaves without another word. Hayden takes this as a confirmation of his suspicions and becomes furious. After he tells his friends, they suggest that he play a revenge prank on Anna. After a bit of reluctance, Hayden agrees and plans to disguise his friend Benjamin as a local urban legend called the Riverside Reaper to scare her that evening. But when they execute their plan, the disguised friend suddenly and fatally attacks Anna. Then, flees. Horrified, Hayden goes to Anna's aid, but it's too late. She dies before Hayden's eyes. At the same time, another of his friends discovers Benjamin's body, dead. Hayden and his friends then realize, the Riverside Reaper is real. Hayden and his friends try to flee, only to be cornered by the Reaper. They run for their lives while the Reaper gives chase, but this Reaper seems to be toying with them. One by one, Hayden is separated from his friends until at last, he is all alone. Hayden manages to escape the Reaper's domain and flees home. When he arrives home, he mourns the loss of his friends and comes to terms with the consequences his jealousy wrought. With a heavy heart, he calls the authorities to bring the Reaper down.
