This film focuses on the present crucial point in history when most of us are fully aware of the complexity of the air pollution problem and at the same time are racing to obtain research data that will provide us with some definitive solutions. Also featured are some of the roles that industry, government, and individuals can play in the fight for cleaner air. This film describes air pollution as a "universal" problem, in that we all cause it and are all affected by it. The emphasis is on control- what is being done at steel plants, automobile manufacturers, oil refineries, municipal installations to reduce emissions. A look at the future stresses that the cost of new abatement technology must be borne by us all. The film is available after May 15, 1967 for purchase or loan from the Committee on Public Affairs of the American Petroleum Institute.
