Spice - real name Grace Hamilton - is the newly crowned female international dancehall queen. Born in St Catherine, Jamaica, she spent a period of her childhood living in London's Finsbury Park before returning to Jamaica to pursue a music career, making her name with collaborations with Beenie Man and Vybz Kartel. As a recording artist, she's run up streams in the millions with hits like So Mi Like It and Conjungal Visit. As a live performer, she's beyond compare, as you'll know if you saw her on Red Bull's 2017 Notting Hill Carnival stage or helping Mixpak to victory at the 2016 Red Bull Culture Clash. Lately, she's branched out into philanthropy through the Grace Hamilton Women Empowerment Foundation (GHWEF), and become a staple on the big screen - as a cast member on VH1's Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta and star of the 2014 feature film Destiny. - In a wide-ranging conversation with BBC Radio 1XTRA's Sian Anderson, she will discuss reality TV, sexism in the music industry, and the difference between Grace Hamilton and her bigger, bolder Spice persona.
