Trojaner (2018)

A self-proclaimed dictator rises from oblivion as the time becomes right for him. He celebrates his long wished for comeback with a megalomaniac speech with which he tries to get his power back. When his attempts on regaining power get ever crazier and opposition forms in his own circle, he finally loses control. He might be able to reach his goal only, if he succeeds to mobilize the masses, to eliminate the competition and to turn his focus on the individual. The dadaistic text follows along the line of a populist speech: screams of angry citizens, the proclamation of the status quo and the potential of "your" people, romantically distorted pictures of women and of the past. The return to strength and power of the Army, the construction of an enemy image, repression of uprising opposition, trivialization of content, megalomania - up to the total loss of control.
