A portrait of the background, insights and experiences of two emerging Vancouver actresses. The documentary explores the insights, experiences and background stories of two emerging black female actresses in Vancouver's film and TV industry. The documentary also examines the dynamics of race, gender and identity. The documentary consists of first-person interviews conducted with the two actresses. Some of the interview questions include questions that involve exploring the role of gender and ethnic identity when women from a minority group pursue their careers, goals, dreams and aspirations. For example, one of the questions explores the significance of thinking about gender and ethnic identity when black women explore their professional aspirations. The questions asked also makes it possible to explore other topics that highlight the interconnections of friendships, families, childhood experiences and physical environments. Moreover, the documentary explores the experiences and insights of black females from different age groups and ethnic backgrounds. One of the actresses is in her 20s while the other actress is in her 40s. Some images of different geographical locations are also included.
