In 1966, the people living in Rebbenesøy (a Norwegian island) were promised a road that should go to the mainland. But in 1970, the idea of the road was dropped due to some difficulties during some "tight times", so the promised road didn't came. A small team from NRK visited the island and met three residents who spoke about, not only the road, but also how they lived, and why they lived the way they did.
