Thanksgiving (2019)

The film THANKSGIVING is an illustration of a mayor's ability to bring a community together through giving back. It is a true expression of Thanksgiving shown through the eyes of a large urban community with small town heart. Mayor and State Senator Brian P. Stack began the annual tradition at the age of fourteen from his family's modest apartment. In the beginning, and with help from his parents, he would give out chickens to his neighbors. In present day, the Brian P. Stack Civic Association annually distributes thousands of free turkeys to city residents in what may be the largest turkey giveaway in the nation.
