Tsena zhizni (1940)

The action takes place in Turkmenistan in the 1930s. The old surgeon Yastrebov forbids his daughter Liza from practicing parachuting, considering it too dangerous. One day, a pilot arrives from the airport. In a remote village, a child is dying, and needs an urgent operation. Yastrebov agrees to fly. But on the radio they report that a strong snowstorm began in the landing area, the landing strip is covered. The elderly doctor does not want to hear anything about turning back. He decides to make a parachute jump. After a successful operation, the child's life is saved.
