Em, a homegrown young Wisconsinite, yearns to leave her rural town for big city dreams. Her handspun wool business is the means to that dream, until one day her prized spinning wheel breaks. In a search for affordable parts, Em spots a new face in town, Noah, the Handyman who appears to be carrying her salvation: a pristine scotch tension spinning wheel. Em agrees to fix Noah's shack in exchange for the wheel, setting the stage for romance during the construction. After its completion, Em finds herself caught between her dream for a new life, and a love for what's familiar- even though neither seem to satisfy her conflicted heart.
