Dasarathan (1993)

Dasarathan rises to the rank of a police commissioner, but gains a scandalous reputation when he accidentally kills an innocent and unarmed man during a riot. Dasarathan's estranged father decides to take the young widow Sharanya under his wing. Sharanya and the old man witness the murder of a police officer by the henchmen of a corrupt politician. When the politician decides to eliminate the witnesses and their families in a home invasion, Dasarathan has to rescue his family.
