Jae and the Strange Fruit (2020)

Jae and the Strange Fruit tells the story of a young man, Alphy, who serves as a prostitute to make money. Down on his luck after being evicted from his apartment, Alphy seeks refuge at a co-op farm in hopes to turn his life around with a promise of community, shelter, and financial aid. However, nothing is ever as it seems. When Alphy arrives at the "farm", he is introduced to a beautifully ran establishment under the control of a cult leader, Jae whose followers are called The Strange Fruit. Persuaded to join the community as a Strange Fruit, Alphy rejects the invitation and attempts to escape with a few of the followers. Unfortunately, Alphy's attempt fails drastically and against his will, is forced to stay.
