HOUSE MONEY tells the story of Armanti Edwards, a small, underdog Black athlete who dreams of playing quarterback for a Division 1 program. Unfortunately, Armanti's small stature leaves him ignored by the bigger programs. Only days before National Signing Day, Coach Moore of Appalachian State, a small, Division 1-AA program nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in a town called Boone offers him a chance to compete for their quarterback position. Out of options and time, Armanti accepts the offer - struggling at first until he finally wins the backup quarterback position. Immediately after his first game, Armanti is blindsided by the news that his father - the man who dubbed him "Money" as a child - has been sentenced to 35 years in prison - a probable life sentence for a man already in his mid-fifties. Amidst this tragedy, Armanti must dig deep and find the courage to lead his team against the winningest program in the history of college football, the #5 ranked Michigan Wolverines. But before Armanti can fulfill his father's prophecy and win this big "Money Game", he must first learn to trust his teammates so that, together, they can take down Goliath.
