Players from all over the world travel to Portland, Oregon to compete in the 10th annual Classic Tetris World Championship. A postman from Oklahoma, a programmer from Japan, and a physicist from Iceland are among the top competitors in the ultimate block-stacking competition. Competitors have mastered the original version of Tetris programmed in 1989 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The players are given the same piece sequences, and the higher score wins. Playing at top speeds, one misplaced piece can end a player's entire tournament.
