The film tells a part of the history of tap dancing in Brazil, through the career of the Brazilian Tap Orchestra, its actions and members, since 1980, with the company that preceded it , until today. Created by Stella Antunes, Tim Rescala and Amalia Machado, the OBS opened many doors for tap dance in Brazil, through important events such as the "Sapateatas" ( a tap dance parade ) on the Ipanema beach, many shows and even technological innovations, such as the famous "Midi Tap" created by Tim Rescala and developed by an engineer, known by the nickname "Crazy Zé" The Brazilian Tap Orchestra created an important space in the cultural scene, imposing on it the presence of a foreign art, now mixed to our roots. It is easy to see that, with feet and hands tuned, the orchestra has conquered, over the years, the unification of language, making the tap dance more modern and dynamic, mixing theater, dance and music, always with humor and brazilianness. The film celebrates 25 years of the OBS while introducing the new generation of Brazilian and other tap dancers interested in our rhythms and the "ginga" of tap.
