Norse Bound (Television Series Pitch) (2020)

In order to prove himself, a disregarded silicon valley engineer decides to create his own private time machine alongside his trustworthy, yet naive millennial intern. However shortly after traveling to the viking era, they find out their time machine no longer works, forcing them to start a new life, the life of a viking. The two silicon valley engineers with mesmerizing life sucking jobs are transported into another era and shown how to treasure life's moments along with actual friends and family. Luckily they are found by a small camp of somewhat moral, yet unintelligent vikings. Instead of enslaving the engineers (as most viking camps in the area would do), the vikings train them to fight and become vikings alongside them. This alliance causes the small camp to survive an attack which should have otherwise wiped them out of history. The series will feature actual historical events and stories as if they happened due to the engineers actions while visiting the viking era, including battles, explorations and inventions. The older and wiser engineer makes sure their names aren't passed down in history.
