Paul Vidal is a country doctor in a small town. A husband and father, he seems to have all he needs to be happy. Yet he suffers a serious nervous breakdown, making him unable to practise. He's hospitalised, and his family must team together to reawaken his taste for life. But the process isn't without conflict and soul-searching, both for his family and his patients.
