Fireworks (1994)

It's November 5th. Like every year, Guy Falkes' Night is celebrated in Lewes, a small town in the south of England. The Bread and Roses theater group arrives here to present a performance of their occasional play. This performance is basically just a way to provoke discussion and talk about democracy. Topics covered include the last days of Demosthenes, the American Revolution, and one day of the French Revolution. A fascinating essay on the rights and duties that belong to democracy. The film asks questions that should have been answered at different stages of the development of the company.
