Logan Duquesne, an aspiring, young filmmaker, is visited at his work by a former high school classmate, Rob Stone. Rob claims to be an established producer, with several films under his belt. While Rob is extremely condescending to Logan, he does offer Logan the possibility of getting him some much-needed work if he wants to have dinner with him. Later that day, Logan has trouble on his film set - his parents' basement. His rag tag group of friends, James, Greg, Piper, and Jared, prove to be difficult to direct. After most of them depart, Logan has a serious conversation with Piper regarding their plans for the future. Piper seems to want to live in the present, while Logan expresses a desire to expand. He takes out Rob Stone's card, preparing to tell Piper, but before he can, she convinces him that things are going fine the way they are and that they will make their own path to Hollywood someday. After talking to his parents, Logan decides to call Rob and have that dinner. They meet and Rob does all the talking, telling Logan he would make a good production assistant. Logan is not pleased with getting into bed with a man like Rob, but he is hoping this will lead him and his team on the right path to finally making it in the film industry. Waiting for Logan in Piper's basement, the group enjoys a game of Monopoly. When left alone, Greg and James discuss James' growing fondness for Piper, something that has persisted since high school. He seems to convince James that maybe it has become time to move on. Logan enters, along with Piper and Jared, and as they sit down to play, Logan seems to have decided he made the right decision.
