On the Whistle (2020)

Luke Adley walks into his first day of basketball tryouts at Hartford High with a sense of entitlement. As the star of his old team, and the son of the new district superintendent, he's less worried about making the team than establishing himself as the new star. His plan is quickly complicated by the arrival of Coach Darryl Weaver, who expects total control of the gym, and the complete respect of his players. Luke leaves the first day of tryouts exhausted and dispirited. That night he grumbles about Coach Weaver's unorthodox style to his mom, and comes back the next day to find she's called to complain. Realizing his spot on the team is in serious jeopardy, Luke must step his game up, and learn to bite his tongue.
