Dowry for Robaab (1987)

Robab is from a family whose main source of income is pearl hunting. She is about to marry her cousin Kamel, but the daily quarrels between her mother and Kamel bring about discord between their families. Setareh is insisting more than anyone that her daughter has to get married with a dowry but Robab's father has lost his youthful vigour and is ailing. Her younger brother Khadem wants to solve the problem by going to the sea for hunting which is a dangerous and risky profession.
