During the past few years, social media has further exposed the struggles that African Americans face as a result of the discrimination and racism in the United States. This conversation became more important in the public eye especially after the killing of George Floyd earlier this year. Amidst this conversation, the African American Shia community is generally overlooked and underrepresented in both American, Muslims, and even Shia society.
