Built on the testimonies of victims, magistrates, psychiatrists, and archives showing the decisive role of television in this matter, Sylvie Meyer's film tells 50 years of society's responses to pedophilia. It traces the struggle waged to characterize the pedo-criminal act as a criminal offense, assess its long-term consequences for the child, and legislate to protect the child. French society has totally changed its outlook on the problem of sexual violence against minors in barely half a century. It is only for a century that there has been clear talk of sexual assault on children, even if this is not a new fact. A veritable barometer of morals, the reactions of civil society to the sexual crime against minors outline the moral, political and cultural history of this major problem, and of such a long indifference towards it, at the expense of the victims. The film intends to retrace the history of this taboo with the occasional help of historians, psychiatrists, magistrates, politicians, the use of archives, but above all by giving a large place to the testimonies of people of different generations who have experienced these attacks. .
