We follow the life of a woman who is reliant on social security of less than US$3 per day as she tries to provide a life for herself and her children. Through a mixture of interview and observation, we follow the subject in her day to day life, seeing how she views her world. We examine the process of how she gets her funds, from the initial phone alert to the arrival in the bank. And then how she budgets to the last cent trying to make ends meet. We also explore how she is caught in a debt spiral through the notorious Pay Day Loans and see how she plans to extricate herself from this poverty trap. She speaks about how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected her and how she deals with it. We discuss how child support was increased due to the pandemic but is set to end in October, and how she feels about it. Finally she reflects on her wishes for the government to do something about the unemployment rate in this country, urging it to create more jobs and start development programs such as farming and handiwork so that people can generate income for their households.
