In the GDR, the club was "extreme" refuge and vision of a different life. The film tells of the legendary club and its operator Alexander Kühne. Numerous musicians and bands flocked to Lugau at the time of the divided Germany-a small GDR village on the edge of the Spreewald. According to the western model, a pulsating music club was created there. Lugau City Lights tells the story of Alexander Kühne, who overlaps over the strict GDR rules and, together with his colleagues, built something for the region never for an end.
