American Collapse: Fear and Hope at the End of an Era (2012)

Sometimes, it seems like the U.S. has lost much of its former optimism, of its drive. A feeling of decline, an apocalyptic mood is in the air. And their are very real signs of decay. Will this decline stop, will it continue slowly, or will there will be a sudden collapse? No-one knows, but many diagnoses, presumptions, and prophesies abound. Herbert Krill has interviewed some of the leading voices of the American collapse movement. What they all have in common is a certain "pleasure in collapse". They are looking forward to a change, to a new beginning. They have a longing for a simpler life.
