THE ROAD TO THE LAST GREAT BATTLE OF THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR. Spring 1938: The International Brigades are stationed in the Priorat (Catalonia) to prepare for the last great offensive - the Battle of the Ebro. It is a time of intense emotions, of sharing and solidarity between soldiers and civilians. It creates memories that can be captured in interviews, and through the photographs and film footage from those days, recently discovered in New York. It is the prelude, joyful at times, to the last great battle. This documentary is about life behind the front lines; a glimpse of how people lived day to day, giving us another perspective on the civil war.
