Five decades ago, Luis Alberto Martínez was one of the main romantic voices in Chile, anchored in a type of popular bolero with great emotional contention, as shown by his greatest success, "Hoy se casa". But after many years out of the country, the singer returned to a Chile where the large audience and the media had forgotten him. On that edge of effort and nostalgia, the Playa Ancha resident continues to sing to this day, at eighty years of age; one day in a Persian market, another day at a popular fair, occasionally in a theater full of people who still chant and cry with their songs.
