12 MOEDAS tells about what led to all these changes and how they affected the Brazilian economy and society. In addition to archived material, the feature presents unpublished interviews with names like Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Delfim Netto, Abílio Diniz, Maílson da Nóbrega, Luiz Carlos Bresser-Pereira, Gustavo Franco and Guido Mantega - ex-ministers and economists who created the various economic plans that plagued the country - as well as ordinary people who felt the effects of their decisions, often times disastrous, on their wallets. Led by journalist and editor João Varella, with dynamic and humorous language, the production seeks to bring the most technical and complex information to the public's understanding, contextualizing the historical moments that served as a backdrop for each change of currency, with references to what these monetary changes provoked in the culture and in the day-to-day lives of citizens.
