Documentary, without narration, about the extinct Atlantic Rain Forest found by European travelers like Jean de Lery, Charles Darwin, Jean de Nieuhof and Von Martius in the 16th and 19th centuries, portrayed by engravings by Rugendas and described by Ribeirolles in 1858, for whom Primitive Atlantic Forest, which today survives intact only on Ilha Grande, was considered a faithful expression of the earthly paradise.
