Algérie, la guerre des appelés (2019)

Spring 1956. The French government decides to send a large number of conscripts to Algeria. Two million young Frenchmen cross the Mediterranean for a law enforcement operation that soon turns into a terrible quagmire. Without experience, these young men are faced with terrible moral dilemmas. Their recklessness is gradually consumed by an enterprise whose purpose no one knows. After decades of silence, when it is time to take stock of their lives, they speak out and remember.
