Charlie and her best friend Tyler do the same thing every day: a series of rituals inspired by her favorite movies. Coping with reality by refusing to live in it, Charlie's whole life, from the clothes she wears to her room, is a complete contradiction to the modern world around her. When her ways begin to threaten her relationship with the only person who can pull her down to earth, Charlie sees that her escapist fantasies have consequences.
