Tu Ausencia (2021)

Andres grew up in a small family surrounded by alcoholism and terror, which caused him to follow the same patterns as his alcoholic father to evade reality at a young age. After his father's disappearance, he separates himself from the family terror, but unfortunately not from the alcohol. The death of his mother when he is just 20 years of age sinks him further into severe alcoholism. Four years later, his alcoholism causes extreme damage to his liver, and now he has to decide whether to change the toxic lifestyle he has grown accustomed to or continue drinking and die... 'Tu Ausencia' is an award-winning short film, that has been featured in major publications such as Telemundo and El Diario (El Paso and Juarez). The film is set is set in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, a border town with nearly 2 million inhabitants.
