Tom Miller, an American Performance Artist, shakes up the art world and achieves international acclaim and controversy for doing Nothing. Inspired by John Cage's composition of 4m33s in which the performer sits at the piano not playing anything, Miller contrives to do Nothing as a sculpture in the downtown Gainesville Community Plaza where he attracts the attention of the Mayor and county government. As his notoriety increases, so do his fans and detractors. Part fiction, part fact, Nothing literally happens in this movie.
