Roadtrip (2020)

Andrea is a free-spirited, 24-year-old, who spends most of her time with her best friend Tom, who suffers from muscular dystrophy. John, Andrea's boyfriends enlist Tom to help him propose to Andrea but she keeps avoiding it. In an effort to spend some time alone with Tom to talk about her fears and feelings about the future, she decides to take Tom on a trip to Montauk. While they are talking, Ronaldo, Tom's dorky aide, invites himself on the trip. Annoyed, Andrea tricks Ronaldo into getting out of the car to pump gas and ditches him at the gas station. Shortly after, Andrea and Tom stop at a bar a little way down the road. At the bar, Andrea attempts to talk to Tom but a girl approaches him. They quickly hit it off and start dancing while Andrea calls John. Ronaldo finally meets up with them and notices Shelly and Tom kissing. He becomes extremely concerned about Tom's well-being. He goes to stop them but Andrea quickly reminds him that what he is doing is normal. After Tom says goodbye to Shelly, Andrea, Tom, and Ronaldo get back in the car and after driving for a little bit, they arrive at the beach. At the beach, Tom tells Andrea that she should say yes to John's proposal and reminds her to live her life to the fullest and if she couldn't do that for herself, she should do it for him.
