Alma (2020)

Before his death, Freud said that the outcome of the relationship between a mother and daughter is marked by catastrophe. "Alma" is the visual portrait of that catastrophic ending. A tormented young woman tells her psychiatrist about the toxic relationship she has with her mother, one in which she feels entrapped. Small details reveal the vengeance that Alma has committed as an act of liberation.
