The Lifebelt (2020)

A young shop owner with dreams of a prosperous life, faces the financial crisis. He blames the decline of his business on street vendors and refugees. Soon, this is followed by moral collapse. He becomes cruel and cold hearted. Circumstances, however, soon push him to seek the support of food banks in order to survive. A companion in his new predicament helps him rediscover the values he once had. His way-out comes through change. This time refugees contribute to his salvation. His fresh start in life, is signified through re-baptizing in the core human values of solidarity, companionship and love.
