We See You, We Stand with You (2020)

While reflecting on the unreal events that occurred in 2020, I was left with an array of disheartening thoughts and concerns. The constant replays of pandemic, police brutality, and political instability seemed all too regular; I knew that there was a need to counter the onslaught of negativity. The collective cry of all human beings, specifically those of the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community, helped in guiding my thoughts to a place of unity and celebration. The determination and bravery of those who stand on the frontlines of injustice inspired the production of We See You, We Hear You, We Stand with You. The production team worked tirelessly to create a project that would highlight the beauty, talent, and intelligence of the BIPOC community. Utilizing previously recorded interviews, as well as an on-camera host, the team was able to show the value of the community to the arts and entertainment world. It is worth mentioning, that the project was recorded on the campus of Bethune-Cookman University, a Historically Black University.
